Abstract

In October 2024, there was year-on-year (y-on-y) inflation in Ogan Komering Ilir Regency of 1.44 percent with a Consumer Price Index (CPI) of 107.05.

Inflation y-on-y occurred due to an increase in prices indicated by an increase in the expenditure group index. Judging from the inflation, each group is: food, beverage and tobacco group by 0.07 percent; housing, water, electricity, and household fuel group by 6.30 percent; health group by 4.97 percent; transportation group by 0.09 percent; recreation, sports, and culture group by 6.00 percent; education group by 1.77 percent; food and beverage/restaurant provision group by 4.18 percent; and personal care and other services group by 12.73 percent. In addition to those that experienced an increase, there were also several group indices that experienced a decrease in price (deflation), namely the clothing and footwear group by -8.11 percent; household equipment, tools and routine maintenance group by -0.03 percent; and information, communication, and financial services group by -1.55 percent.

The month-to-month (m-to-m) inflation rate and the year-to-date (y-to-d) inflation rate of Ogan Komering Ilir Regency in October 2024 were 0.07 percent and -0.15 percent, respectively.
