Abstract

In August 2024, year-on-year (y-on-y) inflation in Ogan Komering Ilir Regency will be 1.95 percent with a Consumer Price Index (CPI) of 107.15.
Y-on-y inflation occurred due to an increase in prices as indicated by an increase in the expenditure group index. Judging from inflation, each group, namely: the food, beverage and tobacco group, was 1.55 percent; housing, water, electricity and household fuel group at 5.44 percent; health group at 4.97 percent; transportation group at 0.72 percent; recreation, sports and culture group at 5.73 percent; education group of 1.61 percent; food and beverage/restaurant provision group at 4.18 percent; and the personal care and other services group at 11.65 percent. Apart from those that experienced an increase, there were also several index groups that experienced a decline in prices (deflation), namely the clothing and footwear group at -8.43 percent; equipment, tools and routine household maintenance group of -0.03 percent; and the information, communication and financial services group at -1.55 percent.
The month to month (m-to-m) inflation rate and year to date (y-to-d) inflation rate for Ogan Komering Ilir Regency in August 2024 are -0.18 percent and -0.06 percent respectively.
