On Monday, November 4, 2024, BPS OKI Regency attended a meeting invitation from the Regional Inflation Control Team (TPID) together with the Ministry of Home Affairs in the OKI Regent's Meeting Room. This activity was attended by the Regent's Expert Staff, Assistant II and several representatives from the OPDs involved. On this occasion, BPS OKI Regency also conveyed the results of the October 2024 inflation figures.
Mr. Zahid Muttaqin as the Head of the IPDS Team and also representing BPS OKI said that OKI Regency in October 2024 experienced inflation of 1.44 percent y-on-y and inflation of 0.07 percent m-to-m.
In y-on-y inflation, the highest occurred in the personal care and other services group, namely gold commodities with an increase of 12.73%.
Meanwhile, when viewed from month to month, several commodities that contributed the largest inflation include tomatoes, broiler chicken, household fuel, snakehead fish and papaya. Meanwhile, commodities contributing to deflation are cayenne pepper, red chili), live chicken), cucumber and rice.
In addition to the release of inflation figures, BPS Kab. OKI also conveyed the value of the Statistics Development Index (IPS) of OKI Regency based on the results of the Evaluation of Sectoral Statistics Implementation (EPSS) 2024. In 2024, the IPS value of OKI Regency increased quite rapidly, initially from 1.79 in the poor category in 2023 to 2.68 in the good category in 2024. Appreciation and deepest gratitude for the contribution, dedication and cooperation of the OKI Regency Government and OPDs that were samples in the implementation and active participation of the 2024 EPSS activities.
On this occasion, the Acting Regent of OKI, represented by the Regent's Expert Staff for Economics, Finance and Development, Mr. Alexsander, expressed his gratitude and highest appreciation to the BPS of OKI Regency, for providing strategic data and indicators that are useful for evaluating and monitoring the performance of the Ogan Komering Ilir Regency Government, as well as being a good data coach in the implementation of sectoral statistics. Hopefully, with this very good cooperation, we can realize an independent OKI. Together we can!!
