Release of OKI Regency Inflation Figures for September 2024

OKI Regency BPS on October 2 2024 attended a meeting invitation from the Regional Inflation Control Team (TPID) together with the Ministry of Home Affairs in the OKI Regent's Meeting Room. This activity was attended by the Acting Regent, the Regent's Expert Staff, Assistant II, several representatives from the OPD and the OKI Regency TPID Team. On this occasion, BPS OKI Regency also presented the results of the release of inflation figures for September 2024.

Representing the Head of BPS OKI, the inflation release was delivered by Mr. Zahid Muttaqin as Head of the IPDS Team where OKI Regency in September 2024 experienced inflation of 1.72 percent y-on-y and inflation of -0.16 percent m-to-m . Meanwhile, for the year to date in September 2024 there was inflation of -0.21 percent.

In y-on-y inflation, the highest occurred in the personal care and other services group through an increase in the price of gold jewelry of 11.82%.

Meanwhile, if you look at it from month to month, several commodities that contribute the most to inflation include shallots, rice, long beans, live chickens, Siamese sepat fish, oranges, gold jewelry, papaya, green mustard greens and watermelon. Meanwhile, commodities contributing to deflation are red chilies, cayenne peppers, snakehead fish, purebred chicken eggs, bananas, fuel, potatoes, carrots, tomatoes and cucumbers.
