Supervisi of Field Activities Updating Enumeration Area SLS 2024

The Central Statistics Agency (BPS) as a data producer and statistics supervisor, needs to prepare a complete and up to date master sample frame to be used in every survey. BPS is starting to use SLS as an enumeration area (EA). For efficiency, Updating EA SLS utilizes SLS data identified in the Village Potential Data Collection (Podes) as a basis for following up on possible SLS changes in a village.

The output resulting from updating SLS in the form of SLS change information and SLS updating maps, is then processed at the Regency/City BPS to obtain the SLS master and its contents, and an SLS map that is up to date and in accordance with the map.

EA SLS Updating activities cannot be separated from Master Updating activities (MFD and MBS) and Wilkerstat Map Updating activities. This activity aims to, Capture SLS change information on an ongoing basis; Updating the SLS load on the SLS that is experiencing changes; Produce up to date master and SLS maps as a reference in updating the sample frame.

On July 17 2024, the Head of OKI Regency BPS Mrs. Anugrahani Prasetyowati SST Msi supervised EA activities in Tanjung Lubuk District. This supervision activity is carried out to observe changes in the SLS boundaries that are undergoing changes. There are 3 new SLS in Ulak Kapal Village which are expansions of the previous SLS. The Head of OKI Regency BPS together with SLS officers and heads traced the SLS boundaries and carried out geotaging to get the latest SLS boundaries. This field activity was carried out in the period July to August 2024 in several sub-districts in the OKI Regency area which experienced changes to the SLS as a result of the 2024 Village Potential Data Collection (Podes) identification, after which the Map Processing activities resulting from the updates were continued.
