Abstract
Farmer's Exchange Rate
(NTP) is a comparison of the price index received by farmers (It) to the index
of prices paid by farmers (Ib).
NTP is one indicator
to see the level of ability/purchasing power of farmers in rural areas. NTP
also shows the terms of trade (terms of trade) of agricultural products with
goods and services consumed as well as for production costs.
The Farmer's Exchange
Rate (NTP) of South Sumatra Province in September 2021 was recorded at 112.07
or an increase of 0.83 percent compared to the NTP of the previous month. The
increase in NTP was influenced by the Price Index Received by Farmers (It)
which increased by an average of 0.97 percent, while the average Index Paid by
Farmers (Ib) only increased by 0.14 percent.
The increase in NTP in
September 2021 was influenced by the increase in NTP in the Plantation
sub-sector which rose by 1.32 percent and in Aquaculture by 0.09 percent.
Meanwhile, other sub-sectors that experienced a decline were Food Crops by 0.62
percent, Horticulture 0.26 percent, Livestock 1.08 percent, Fisheries in
general 1.07 percent and Capture Fisheries 1.83 percent.
In September 2021, in
South Sumatra, rural inflation was 0.13 percent caused by the increase in the
average index price in the group expenditure, namely: Food, Beverage and
Tobacco group increased by
0.13 percent, Housing,
Electric Water and Household Fuel 0.36 percent,Equipment, Equipment and Routine
Household Maintenance 0.07 percent, Health 0.19 percent, Transportation 0.16
percent, Information, Communication and Services Finance 0.14 percent and
Recreation, Sports and Culture 0.12 percent, while other groups decreased and
some did not change.
The national
Agricultural Household Business Exchange Rate (NTUP) in September 2021 was
111.99, an increase of 0.77 percent compared to the previous month's NTUP.
