The Trade Balance Has a Surplus of US $ 268.33 million in October 2020

·       The export value of South Sumatra Province in October 2020 was US $ 332.57 million, an increase of 15.96 percent compared to the exports in September 2020 which amounted to US $ 286.80 million. Exports in October 2020 were mostly aimed at China amounting to US $ 120.26 million (36.16 percent), India at US $ 27.32 million (8.21 percent) and Malaysia amounting to US $ 24.64 million (7 , 41 percent).

 

·       The five main export commodities from South Sumatra Province which were the largest in October 2020 were rubber valued at US $ 124.19 million (37.34 percent); pulp / pulp worth US $ 105.42 million (31.69 percent); coal worth US $ 41.69 million (12.53 percent); palm oil and its fractions US $ 11.75 million (3.53 percent), and oil and gas US $ 9.81 (2.94 percent).

 

·       The export value of South Sumatra Province for the January - October 2020 period was US $ 2,909.59 million, down 14.31 percent compared to the export value for the January - October 2019 period which amounted to US $ 3,395.48 million.

 

·       The import value of South Sumatra in October 2020 was US $ 64.24 million or decreased by 28.66 percent when compared to imports in September 2020 which amounted to US $ 90.05 million. Most of the imports in October came from China amounting to US $ 45.32 million (70.55 percent), Vietnam US $ 4.96 million (7.72 percent) and Malaysia amounting to US $ 2.13 million (3.31 percent).

 

·       Imports of South Sumatra Province for the January - October 2020 period amounted to US $ 601.21 million, an increase of 46.15 percent compared to the import value for the January - October 2019 period which amounted to US $ 411.37 million.

 

·       The types of goods imported with the greatest value in October 2020 were machinery / aircraft mechanics of US $ 41.55 million (64.68 percent), fertilizers of US $ 7.83 (12.19 percent), as well as locomotives and equipment trains US $ 2.72 million (4.23 percent).

 

·       Total foreign trade in South Sumatra in October 2020 was a surplus of US $ 268.33 million
