Abstract
·
The value of South Sumatra's exports in November
2019 decreased by 8.12 percent compared to exports in October 2019. However,
when compared with the same period in 2018 (January-November 2018) the exports
of South Sumatra Province experienced a decrease of 8.65 percent.
• The
export value of the South Sumatra Province in November 2019 of US $ 326.30
million consisted of oil and gas exports of US $ 24.48 million and US $ 301.82
million which was the result of non-oil and gas commodity exports.
• China,
Malaysia and the United States of America became the main export destination
countries of South Sumatra in the January - November 2019 period, each reaching
US $ 1,244.17 million, US $ 396.52 million and US $ 324.55 million, with the
roles of the three reaching 52.73 percent of the total exports for the period
January - November 2019.
• The
import value of South Sumatra in November 2019 was US $ 33.53 million or
decreased by 19.88 percent when compared to October 2019.
• The
import of South Sumatra Province in November 2019 of US $ 33.53 million
consisted of oil and gas imports of US $ 4.32 million and non-oil and gas of US
$ 29.21 million.
• The
largest countries of origin for the period January - November 2019 were China
with an import value of US $ 164.25 million, followed by Malaysia with an
import value of US $ 59.12 million and Canada with an import value reaching US
$ 25.05 million.
