The Result of Long Form Population Census 2020 Ogan Komering Ilir Regency

Indonesia is a country with enormous potential. In terms of population, Indonesia is the fourth largest country in the world after China, India and the United States. With the right strategy, residents can become the strength of the nation for Advanced Indonesia. In 2022, exactly one decade of Indonesia's demographic bonus, BPS is committed to completing the mandate to carry out the Advanced Population Census (Long Form SP2020) with various challenges amid the COVID-19 pandemic. With the permission of God Almighty accompanied by the hard work of all parties, the Long Form SP2020 data collection has been completed. The SP2020 Long Form carries a big mission as a Benchmark for Indonesian population indicators, a Portrait of Indonesian Demographics after going through the 2nd wave of the COVID-19 Pandemic, evaluation of development achievements in the field of population in the SDGs and RPJMN, as well as being the basis for determining Indonesia's development policies towards Golden Indonesia 2045. Even though it was carried out in the midst of a pandemic, there were several innovations implemented in the Long Form SP2020, one of which was the use of various modes of data collection (PAPI, CAPI, and CATI ). For the first time, Computer Assisted Telephone Interviewing (CATI) was applied in the history of the population census in Indonesia. The journey of implementation and results of the Long Form SP2020 of Ogan Komering Ilir Regency is briefly presented in the Population Indicator booklet of the Long Form SP2020 Results of Ogan Komering Ilir Regency. This booklet presents a comprehensive picture of the population condition of Ogan Komering Ilir Regency based on the results of the Long Form SP2020. The basic data coverage of the Long Form SP2020 results are indicators of fertility, mortality, mobility, disability, education, and housing. It is hoped that the provision of demographic parameters and population characteristics will produce indicators to monitor and evaluate the achievement of the SDGs and RPJMN targets in the population sector.
