Abstract
· The export value of South Sumatra in March 2019 decreased by
1.94 percent compared to February 2019. Likewise when compared to the same
period in 2018 (January - March 2018) exports of South Sumatra Province
decreased by 16.26 percent.
· The export value of South Sumatra Province in March 2019
amounting to US $ 319.62 million consisting of oil and gas exports amounting to
US $ 16.29 million and US $ 303.32 million as a result of exports of non-oil
and gas commodities.
· China, Malaysia and the United States became the main export
destinations for South Sumatra in the period January - March 2019, reaching US
$ 264.57 million, US $ 91.34 million and US $ 86.75 million respectively, with
the role of the three reaching 49.36 percent of total exports from January to
March 2019.
· The import value of South Sumatra in March 2019 was US $
56.78 million or an increase of 58.92 percent compared to February 2019
· Imports of South Sumatra Province in March 2019 amounting to
US $ 56.78 million consisting of oil and gas imports of US $ 1.52 million and
non-oil and gas revenues of US $ 55.26 million.
· The country of origin of imports is the largest period
January - March 2019, namely China with an import value of US $ 48.64 million,
followed by Malaysia with an import value of US $ 13.70 million and Canada with
import values reaching US $ 13.57 million, followed by Malaysia with an import
value of US $ 57.08 million
