The city of Palembang in May 2016 experienced inflation of 0.66 percent while Lubuk Linggau City experienced inflation of 0.33 percent

Abstract

The 2016 cumulative inflation rate in Palembang City is 0.90 percent. While the inflation rate "year on year" (May 2016 to May 2015) is 4.30 percent.

The city of Palembang in May 2016 based on expenditure groups, showed that 6 (six) expenditure groups, namely the processed food, drinks, cigarettes & tobacco group amounted to 1.76 percent; health group by 1.55 percent; clothing group by 1.28 percent; transportation, communication & financial services group of 0.81 percent; foodstuffs group of 0.29 percent; and education, recreation and sports groups by 0.15 percent. While 1 (one) expenditure group experienced a decline in the price index, namely the housing, water, electricity, gas & fuel group by -0.03 percent. .

Commodities experiencing price increases that cause inflation in Palembang City include gasoline, red chili, rice, air transportation and electricity tariffs. While commodities that have increased

prices include: vegetable tomatoes, cooking oil, filtered clove cigarettes, shallots and cung kediro.
