Abstract

The number of foreign tourists visiting foreign tourists in South Sumatra through the entrance of Sultan Mahmud Badaruddin II Airport in Palembang in January 2016 was 848 people. The number of tourists who came to South Sumatra in January 2016 decreased by 27.27 percent compared to December 2015.

* Room Occupancy Rate (TPK) of star hotels in South Sumatra in January 2016 reached an average of 50.21 percent, down 7.75 points compared to the hotel TPK in December 2015 of 57.96 percent. Meanwhile, if observed according to hotel classification, it turns out that in January 2016 the five-star ROR of hotels reached 75.67 percent and was the highest TPK compared to other star-rated hotels.

* The average length of stay of foreign guests in January 2016 was 2.51 days, an increase of 0.12 days compared to the average length of stay of foreign guests in December 2015. Whereas the average length of stay of Nusantara / Domestic guests in the month January 2016 also increased by 0.03 days compared to the average length of stay of domestic guests in December 2015.
