Abstract
1. Farmer Exchange Rate (NTP) * South Sumatra in June 2015 amounted to 97.29 percent, indicating that in general the purchasing power of farmers in June 2015 decreased compared to the base year of 2012. Meanwhile, when compared to the previous month, June NTP 2015 fell by 0.13 percent due to an increase in the price index received by farmers smaller than the increase in the price index paid by farmers in general.
2. The South Sumatra Agricultural Business Exchange (NTUP) in June 2015 was 102.94 percent, indicating that in general the farmers' purchasing power in June 2015 was better than the 2012 base year. When compared to the previous month, NTUP in June 2015 increased by 0.71 percent.
3. The NTP without the South Sumatra Fisheries Sector in June 2015 amounted to 97.26 percent, indicating that in general the purchasing power of farmers in June 2015 decreased compared to the base year 2012. Similarly, compared to the previous month, FTT without fisheries in June 2015 fell by 0.10 percent.
4. NTUP without the South Sumatra Fisheries Sector in June 2015 amounted to 102.97 percent, indicating that in general the purchasing power of farmers in June 2015 was better than the base year of 2012. However, when compared to the previous month, NTUP in June 2015 increased by 0 , 75 percent.
5. Based on the NTP and NTUP sub-sector, in June 2015 the sub-sector that experienced an increase compared to May 2015 was the Horticulture sub-sector, the plantation plantation sub-sector, and the livestock sub-sector, while the food crop sub-sector and the fisheries sub-sector decreased.
6. Rural inflation / deflation is indicated by changes in the price index of goods and services consumed by farmer households. In June 2015 rural areas in South Sumatra experienced inflation of 1.38 percent. The highest inflation occurred in the foodstuffs group at 2.31 percent.
